Lifelong Skagit County resident. Mount Vernon High School (2000), University of Washington (2004), Seattle University School of Law, JD with honors (2009). Associate Editor, Seattle University Law Review; Board Member and Research & Technical Editor. Clerked at Ahlers & Cressman PLLC, Seattle. Joined his father, John R. Shultz, to form Shultz Law Offices.

Practices personal injury, auto accidents, business, finance, contract, real estate, insurance, and bankruptcy. Former President and Vice President of the Skagit County Bar Association. Lives in Mount Vernon with children Alex & Mikayla; enjoys skiing, boating, traveling, and the outdoors.

37+ years practicing law. Gonzaga University School of Law (1982), Gonzaga Law Review. U.S. Air Force (1968–1972), served in Vietnam, Thailand, and Southeast Asia. Western Washington University (1973–74), UC Berkeley (1975), University of Washington, B.A. Environmental Design & Architecture (1977, honors). Counsel at Winston & Cashett (Spokane), Dolack Hansler Hulscher & Barline (Tacoma), Bannister Bruhn & Clark (Mount Vernon), and Staff Attorney, U.S. Veterans Administration.

Opened a solo practice in Mount Vernon (1987); partnered with son John A. Shultz to form Shultz Law Offices (2011). Lives in Mount Vernon with wife Connie; enjoys home improvement, skiing, reading, and family.
